Dr. Sushrut Almast is a multifaceted professional with expertise spanning medical sciences, film production, finance, and Vedic sciences. His journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, making him a unique force in multiple industries.
As an MBBS, MD in Radiodiagnosis from Delhi University, Dr. Almast has a strong foundation in medicine. However, his interests go far beyond healthcare. From Bollywood filmmaking to Vedic astrology and financial markets, he has fearlessly pursued diverse fields, proving that success knows no boundaries.
A Doctor Who Became a Bollywood Film Producer
Despite his medical background, Dr. Almast had an undeniable passion for storytelling. In 1991, he took a bold step into the Bollywood film industry—without any prior connections. His first project, Vyakul, faced setbacks but was later rebranded as Nirnayak – The Decider.
After overcoming production hurdles, financial struggles, and industry resistance, the film was finally released in 1997-98 and became a box-office hit. Featuring legendary actors Om Puri & Amrish Puri, the film now boasts over 16 million views on YouTube and holds an IMDB rating of 7/10.
His first-hand experience as a Bollywood outsider inspired him to write Bollywood Outsider – A Success Story, offering a rare, insider perspective on breaking into the film industry without connections.
A Passion for Vedic Sciences & Self-Awareness
Beyond medicine and filmmaking, Dr. Almast is deeply invested in Vedic sciences and holistic well-being. His studies in Jyotish Alankar (Medical Astrology) have led him to explore how karma, self-awareness, and destiny shape success and happiness.
His not-for-profit organizations, Sukhi Sansar & KRRISSH, focus on spreading Vedic wisdom and holistic healing, helping people align their lives with purpose and inner peace.
